December 2018: I drew this piece in my sketchbook this year. The prompt was to add glitter to your art. I decided to draw beautiful black women for this to symbolize that we are special and unique. That us black women are strong no matter what comes are way and that are skin color doesn’t make us less important . How I drew this was, I first started sketching everything out then filled it in with a fine point. Then I started coloring and designing some parts to it (every color signifying the girls). Then finally I put gold metallic paint to it.
March 2019: this project was the figure drawing project. The first part that I started from this project was going to the dance room and looking at the dancers and taking pictures of their work. I then proceeded to print a picture of a dancer for a lay out so I knew what I was going to draw. I First drew my dancer in my sketchbook to make sure I got it right. And collected Materials, like ribbons, for my art piece. I then got started on sketching my background first and added my dancer and then painted it. Then later I added my bows and ribbons to it. I made my dancer in the forest because I wanted it to symbolize that when she’s dancing she’s in her own little world. That she doesn’t care and is freely dancing where ever she is.
September 2018: this project was the very first project that we have done in CFPA II. How I started this project was getting different tools and materials. I got bubble wrap, plastic, a brush and started creating a red fiery background. Then I drew burning, rotting trees as well. My peace symbolizes forest fires and how deadly they are. That forest fires are ruining our forest and animals that is sometimes caused by us.
October 2018: this art piece that I did was also in my sketchbook. The prompt was to break our paper into four sections and draw four images involving the same idea. I first sketched out what I was going to do on my paper then I did different techniques and media for each section. One side I did color pencils, on the other side I did markers, and on the next side I did pens, then on the other side I did oil pastels. My piece means that, yes all of us are unique and different and different skin tones but we are equal and human at the same time.
November 2018: Again I did another sketchbook. The prompt was to only draw in pen and nothing else. So I got straight to it and carefully drew out my peice. I started with some parts with the background then I drew out my character. I then put a little more details in my drawing as well. This drawing inspired me of a game and so I decided to draw out the vast world of it. And the Adventure to come with it.
